This entry is part 3 of 17 in the series WK 2008

The first day is almost over. The last taxi-job is almost done. We’ve brought the food containers back to the kitchen and fixed the pickup for breakfast and Zwipf. 6.30 am. And its a 30min drive one way. I hope that our lieutenant honours it somehow that we get up earlier every day.

Time will tell…

This entry is part 2 of 17 in the series WK 2008

This years WK started as i expected. We arrived at the train-station, and waited. No one to pick us up. About am hour later a bus turned up. After a 10 minute ride we arrived at our destination. We got our material (sleeping-bag, spare uniforms, etc) and ate something. Since then were waiting…

Welcome to the army. At least our lieutenant makes a good impression :-)

This entry is part 1 of 17 in the series WK 2008

I’m sitting in the train on my way to the other end of Switzerland to serve my country for another 3 weeks. I’ll try to give regular updates on what is happening here.

I just hope the mBlogging plug-in works :-)

This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series Short Trip to Munich

After I got off the train and held my Girlfriend in my arms, it was time for a cigarette ( I know, its a bad habit). Of Course, Munich main station is completely non-smoking. So I’ll have to enjoy my cigarette outside on our way to the Courtyard hotel. Fortunately, the hotel is within walking distance from the main station. It somewhat disturbed me that we had horizontal rain mixed with snow, wind gusts and a temperature just below 0°C. Its a kind of weird, feeling snowflakes directly hitting your eardrum. After a 5 minute walk, fairly wet and half frozen, we arrived at the hotel.

This entry is part 1 of 2 in the series Short Trip to Munich

My Girlfriend had to go to a Training in Munich. As the hotel room was paid and she was already there, we decided to spend the Easter-weekend in Munich. It was already the second time we were there, so we had an idea on what would expect us. The decision came on quite short notice, that’s why everything had to be organised within one day. You know, the usual stuff: getting the tickets, packing, get some stuff for the trip, get some cat-food for shadow, find someone to feed the cat, etc.

At this point I would like to say thanks to mick, who agreed to feed our cat while we were away.

My train to Munich left at 18.28. Another friend of mine, Fox, offered me to take me to the train station under one condition. We should go for a beer before I left. I always had to postpone that Beer due to various reasons, and I feel sorry for that. In the end it turned out that that beer was just what I needed.

WARNING: I’m tired, but thought I would have to share this with you

Whilst looking for a Memory-Stick in the DigiTec Webshop I’ve noticed a News-Post advertising Kingston Memory-Sticks which come with a 10-Day Guest Account for World of Warcraft.

All I can say is: Interesting!

We’ve already had a some warm days this year. A few days ago I saw the first chalk-drawings of kids on the pavement. It’s a usual picture around here during the warm season. My mum emailed me a few pictures of chalk-drawings taken to the next level.

Take a look at these…

These Pictures are all drawn by Julian Beever. The Pictures shown above are linked from his site.

Too bad these are volatile, one Rainshower and it’s gone. But still someone keeps drawing them. Just for the fun of it. This, at least to me, is the love to doing it.
